Dr. Jeff Burnell D.O. (New Partner)
April 1st. 2020, Dr. Jeffrey S. Burnell joined Perrysburg Family Physicians. Dr. Burnell is a Michigan native and attended Central Michigan University where he received his undergraduate degree and then a Master’s degree in Biology and Immunology. He attended medical school at Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 2011. Dr. Burnell and his family moved to Pennsylvania where he completed a residency in Family Medicine at UPMC St. Margaret. His interest in Sports Medicine brought him to Northwest Ohio where he completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine in Toledo, working with our professional teams, the Toledo Walleye and Toledo Mudhens, as well as University of Toledo athletics. He joined ProMedica in 2015, where he practiced family and sports medicine in Maumee before joining Perrysburg Family Physicians. Dr. Burnell lives with his wife, Jen, and their 3 children. They enjoy attending Cedar Creek Church in Whitehouse, traveling to various cities along Lake Michigan and watching their kids grow in their activities. He has enjoyed hockey all his life and continues to stay active on the ice coaching his oldest son and daughter at Tam-O-Shanter. In the fall you might see him on the sidelines; he has been one of the volunteer team physicians for Maumee High School athletics since 2015.
Dr. Jeffrey Wirebaugh M.D.
Dr. Wirebaugh graduated from Sylvania High School in 1975. He graduated from Miami University in 1979. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1982 with honors. He chose Family Medicine as a career and completed his residency at the Mercy Family Practice Program in 1985.
Dr. Wirebaugh was a solo private practice physician for five years in Marblehead Ohio. In 1990 he returned to Toledo when his first child was born. In 1991 he joined the River Road Family Physician group.
He married his wife Bobbi, in 1982. He has two children, Nathan and Caitlyn. His interests are church, family activities, hiking, photography, and computers.
Dr. Robert Donawa M.D.
Dr. Donawa graduated from Cedarville College (now Cedarville University) in 1989. He received his medical degree (MD) from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1996. After choosing the specialty of Family Medicine, he graduated from the Mercy Health Partners Family Practice Residency Program in 1999.
He spent one year of private practice in Barbados from 2000-2001. After moving back to Northwest Ohio, he joined ProMedica and worked in Swanton for 3 1/2 years before returning to private practice with Perrysburg Family Physicians.
Dr. Donawa was born and raised in Barbados, a small island in the southeastern Caribbean. He spent 3 years of high school in Canada, before coming to Ohio for college, medical school, and residency training.
He married his wife Kelley in 2001 and they have 3 boys: Maxwell, born November 2002 and Lukas, born November 2004 and Eli born January 2008. They live in Maumee and attend Cedar Creek Community Church in Perrysburg. In his free time (what little there is) he enjoys spending time with his growing family, sports, and yard work.
Dr. Michael A. Neiswander M.D.
Dr. Neiswander graduated from the University of Dayton in 1982. He received his medical degree (MD) from the Medical College of Ohio in 1996. Following his graduation, he did his residency in Family Medicine at Flower Hospital and graduated in 1999.
Dr. Neiswander has been in private practice in Perrysburg since finishing his residency in 1999.
He married his wife Terri in 1994. He has four children: Caitlin, Sean, Samantha and Sarah and two grandchildren: Molly and Grafton. In his free time he enjoys travel, attending his children's activities as well as cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Dr. Cathy Carrigan M.D.
October 1, 2011, Dr. Catherine Carrigan joined Perrysburg Family Physicians.A Southwestern Ohio native but a long-time resident of Northwestern Ohio, Dr. Carrigan received her undergraduate degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and her Masters Degree in business from Bowling Green State University. She went to medical school in 1997 and graduated with her M.D. degree from Medical College of Ohio in 2001. She completed residency training, also at the Medical College of Ohio, in the Department of Family Medicine. She is board certified in Family Medicine. She has strong interest in weight management and cosmetics, with a busy cosmetic injection practice, featuring Galderma® Products including Restylane® Fillers, Sculptra® Aesthetic and Dysport®.
Dr. Dan Herring D.O.
Starting January 8th, 2018, Dr. Dan Herring will be joining Perrysburg Family Physicians.Dr. Daniel Herring was born and raised in the Chicago, Illinois suburbs. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1995, with Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree at Des Moines University in 1999 and completed his family practice residency in Toledo at St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Center in 2002. Dr. Herring was in private practice from 2002 until 2004, in Charleston, Illinois. During this time his wife, Kate a Swaton native, was obtaining her Masters in Historical Administration from Eastern Illinois University. Dr. Herring and Kate moved to Bellevue, Ohio in 2004, and opened a private practice in Clyde, Ohio. He was a medical director at area care centers, saw patients at The Bellevue Hospital, served on numerous committees at the hospital while seeing his private practice patients. Dr. Herring is excited to begin a new chapter in his professional career at Perrysburg Family Physicians. He enjoys caring for kids, families and elderly patients as well as using his osteopathic skills to provide a patient centered approach to family practice. Dr. Herring and Kate have been married for 17 years. They have three energetic and wonderful children, Daniel, age 11, Margaret age 6, and Andrew age 4. He enjoys sports, especially the Chicago Cubs, games and traveling to new destinations and experiencing new foods and cultures.
Dr. Les Domini M.D.(Retired)
Dr. Domini graduated from Waite High school and was elected Senior class president. He graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in chemistry with scholarship and participation in the Premedical Honor Society. He was member of the premier class of the Medical College of Ohio and graduated Class President. After medical school he trained in Family Medicine at Mercy Hospital Family Practice program and was elected chief resident. After residency he joined River Road Family physicians.
He is married to Teresita, a family physician. They met in residency. He has a daughter, Rachel.
His interests are gourmet foods, biking, rollerblading, travel, and hiking.
