Payment for medical services
While we accept the payment your insurance company offers, we are obligated by your insurance company to collect your co-pay at the time of service. Unfortunately there are no exceptions. Our office operates on the honor system. If you fail to pay your co-pay at the time of service you will be asked to pay it ahead of time at subsequent visits. In addition, there will be a five dollar charge if the co-pay is not paid at the time of your visit.
There are times when your insurance may not pay for a given service. If you wish to continue with the treatment at your expense you will be asked to sign a beneficiary notice that tells your insurance company that you were informed of the potential need for self payment and that you have decided to continue with the treatment at your own expense.
Concerning your monthly bill statements. It is expensive to send out statements. If your office statement shows that you have a balanced owed please pay it at the time of check-out.
