Dr. Jeffrey Wirebaugh, M.D.

Dr. Wirebaugh graduated from Sylvania High School in 1975. He graduated from Miami University in 1979. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1982 with honors. He chose Family Medicine as a career and completed his residency at the Mercy Family Practice Program in 1985.

Dr. Wirebaugh was a solo private practice physician for five years in Marblehead Ohio. In 1990 he returned to Toledo when his first child was born. In 1991 he joined the River Road Family Physician group. Together with Drs. Domini and Donawa, he started Perrysburg Family Physicians in 2005.

He married his wife Bobbi, in 1982. He has two children, Nathan and Caitlyn. His interests are church, family activities, hiking, photography, and computers.

Dr. Robert Donawa, M.D.

Dr. Donawa graduated from Cedarville College (now Cedarville University) in 1989. He received his medical degree (MD) from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1996. After choosing the specialty of Family Medicine, he graduated from the Mercy Health Partners Family Practice Residency Program in 1999.

He spent one year of private practice in Barbados from 2000-2001. After moving back to Northwest Ohio, he joined ProMedica and worked in Swanton for 3 1/2 years before returning to private practice with Perrysburg Family Physicians.

Dr. Donawa was born and raised in Barbados, a small island in the southeastern Caribbean. He spent 3 years of high school in Canada, before coming to Ohio for college, medical school, and residency training.

He married his wife Kelley in 2001 and they have 3 boys and two girls: Maxwell, born November 2002, Lukas, born November 2004, Eli born January 2008, Harper born January 2013, and Olivia born April 2015. They live in Maumee and attend Cedar Creek Community Church. In his free time (what little there is) he enjoys spending time with his growing family, sports, and yard work.

Dr. Michael A. Neiswander, M.D.

Dr. Neiswander graduated from the University of Dayton in 1982. He received his medical degree (MD) from the Medical College of Ohio in 1996. Following his graduation, he did his residency in Family Medicine at Flower Hospital and graduated in 1999.

Dr. Neiswander has been in private practice in Perrysburg since finishing his residency in 1999.

He married his wife Terri in 1994. He has four children: Caitlin, Sean, Samantha and Sarah and two grandchildren: Molly and Grafton. In his free time he enjoys travel, attending his children's activities as well as cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Peter Nguyen, M.D.

Dr. Peter Nguyen graduated from the University of Toledo School of Medicine and completed a Family Medicine Residency at McLaren St. Luke's Hospital.

Dr. Nguyen's special interests include comprehensive care, preventative medicine, navigation of health system and community resources, clinical and behavioral sciences and best science for optimal health.

Dr. Nguyen is welcoming new and former patients.

Max E. Friedlander, D.0.

The Toledo Clinic is pleased to welcome Dr. Max Friedlander to the Perrysburg Family Physicians practice of Drs. Jeffrey Wirebaugh, Michael Neiswander, Robert Donawa, and Peter Nguyen. Dr. Friedlander received his medical degree from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a family medicine residency through ProMedica Monroe Family Medicine Residency Program and a sports medicine fellowship at Saint Vincent Hospital Primary Care Sports Medicine in Erie, PA.

Dr. Friedlander is board eligible. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Friedlander is also a Family Medicine Peer Review Member and an American Academy of Osteopathy Student.

Dr. Friedlander is welcoming new patients.

Benjamin J. Swartz, M.D.

The Toledo Clinic is pleased to welcome Dr. Benjamin J. Swartz to the Perrysburg Family Physicians practice of Drs. Jeffrey Wirebaugh , Michael Neiswander, Robert Donawa, and Peter Nguyen. Dr. Swartz received his medical degree, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Greenville and completed his family medicine residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Dr. Swartz is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. He has research experience from the Center of Family Medicine, Greenville Health System, the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
